Sam Adams Imperial Series; Imperial White
Boston Beer Company
Boston, MA (USA)
10.3 ABV
**Aged about a year**
C. Very very cloudy.
H. Top is yellow, bottom is dark orange
N. Very strong, clove, banana.
Dos: Well, this beer definitely settled down with age I can say that. This is my second experience with it because I bought two of all of the Imperial Series beers when they first came out, and drank one of each pretty much immediately. I figured I would see what happens to them with age. Well the nose was still there, if not stronger, but the taste was a lot smoother the second time around. Just like the first time with that new really hot chick. The first time was like whoaaa awesome, k I’m done. But the second time around seemed a little longer (talking about beer you guys geez) and it was also a little easier. ;-) Score = 4.32
Fermentation: Well lets see here we tried these about a year ago (same batch), I can honestly say quite like women; this one got better with age. Boy oh boy that intial alcohol bite is gone the nose opened up a bit more. This beer became a little easier to drink. Sweet and still has a pleasant odor from the yeast. I’ll give you a tip, buy a four pack and sit on this for a year. Cellar it well! Good Job Jim Koch and team worth the wait! Score = 3.94
Overall = 4.13
