Bloggers

Here at Dos Beerigos we are committed to the local and national beer community.  Having several different people's opinion on one beer is always better than just one.  Below are some of the regular bloggers for the site.  Follow all of them along their own personal journey into this crazy world we call craft beer!  If you would like to become a regular blogger for the site please feel free to contact the administrator of the site, and he will give you the criteria.  CHEERS!

The Fermentation “The Ferm”
“Ferm” was born and raised in Tampa, Florida. he began drinking beer before he can legally admit to it, but didn’t get the palette for a good beer until the summer of 2002. The 1st micro-beer he ever had was Young’s Chocolate Stout; and he thought it was gross.  His palatte has matured since then, but he still is not a huge fan of stouts. He is an avid home-brewer, and loves experimenting with different types of ingredients to push his beer to its limits. His palette is geared more towards Ales, inparticular IPA’s. he is a true Hop-Head at heart, and wont every turn down a Big Imperial IPA.  While stouts and porters are not his favorite, he have an appreciation for them and good beer in general.  There isnt a beer in the world he wouldn’t try at least once.

Dirty Dos
“Dos” was born and raised in Jeffersonville, Indiana. His first drink of alcohol was when he was 12 years old. It just happened to be straight whiskey, a dare made only by his step-father. So after that horrid experience, he decided to turn to beer. His first micro-brew was Fuller’s London Porter. Being that it was his  first beer other than the light beers we will not mention, he wasn’t a big fan of it. Today, some stouts and porters tend to be at the top of his favorites. He is willing try pretty much anything, and am continuing his quest to try each and every single beer he lay my eyes on.

Cerveza Chica
“Cerveza Chica” is a native Floridian, more specifically to the Boca Raton area. She has  been drinking beer for more years than it was actually legal for her, but she did not get into craft or micro brew beers until probably two years ago. Before that she was strictly a Bud light girl.  She has definitely gotten a lot more of an appreciation of good beer now though. She is a big fan of IPAs and Belgian beers, and not really into dark or heavy beers. Her  favorite beer currently is XXXX by Shipyard.

Este Amigo
“Este Amigo” was raised in Iowa and moved to FL in ‘01 to attend FAU. This was where he and “The Ferm” started drinking together, wayyy to often.  His first beer was in an abandoned farm house, sharing a Natural Light at the tender age of 14 with some buddies.  Miller Lite was his beer of choice for the first years of undergrad, and he finally evolved into a Smithwicks man. His favorite styles of beer are stouts and porters.  Favorite beer well thats Gold Star from Israel or Post Road Pumpkin Ale by Brooklyn Brewery.

Miguel
Most of you will know me as Mike from MikeLovesBeer.com.  Iv’e been drinking for quite sometime now.  My first Micro was Samuel Smith’s Oatmeal Stout.  It was very good!  Right now I am a fan of beer in general, and not really sure if I can specify one single beer as my “favorite”.  Throughout my adventures I have had the ability to meet some amazing people within the micro-beer community.  This is just one more reason why I love beer!  Follow my blog over at Mike Loves Beer, and on Twitter at @MikeLovesBeer

El Nadador
“el Nadador” is known for being a beer lover from day one, although my first tasting of beer was an Old Milwaukie, hey I took a sip from my dads beer as he asked me to grab another from the fridge when I was 6, don’t hate!  I like wheat beers, and hates IPA’s.  I am fine with mostly anything else.  Currently my favorites include Left Handed milk stout and Chambly Noire by Unibroue.

El Guapo
I actually never really drank beer or anything for that matter until I was 20. Suddenly my eyes were opened to all the different styles and flavors that beer had to offer. The aromas, the different glassware, the food pairings… I was exposed to a world I never knew existed and I became naturally curious and genuinely interested in everything beer. I began making my own mixed six packs and couldn’t stop tasting all these different beers. Almost two years later, I still have that same hunger to taste different beers, learn as much as possible, and just surround myself with fellow beer geeks who share my passion. The craft beer community is a beautiful thing.  Imperial Stouts (coffee/chocolate stouts), IPA’s, Sours, Wood Aged beers, etc.  Follow me on Twitter @BriansBeerBlog.

Eduardo
“The Sexiest Man in Craft Beer”
I drank $7 lite beers at Marlins games until I started at Total Wine in October 2007. Very quickly I learned I was attracted to the sweet nectar known as craft beer. I dove in head first, much to my wife’s chagrin, tasting through the single beer aisle at Total Wine. I was like a sponge. I couldn’t get enough. I subscribed to all the beer magazines and podcasts I could find. I attended SAVOR in May of 2009. It was an amazing experience. I’ve gotten to met several of my craft beer heros including Sam Calagione, Garrett Oliver, and Greg Koch. My favorite beer styles include IPA’s and imperial stouts. I now work as an assistant manager at the Ft. Lauderdale Total Wine. I handle a lot of beer functions for the stores in South Florida. Follow me on Twitter @Ed_Roberts.

La Cocinera
I have been lucky enough to try a wide variety of AMAZING beers thanks to the awesome beer community I’ve found. I’ve met some really cool people (hey, good people do drink good beer don’t they?) including The Ferm and Cerveza Chica. I also recently started my own blog about cooking with beer so I can share the recipes and pairings that I make. My favorite types of beers lately tend to be sours, but that changes all the time. The purpose of this stuff is enjoyment after all, so as long as it tastes good to me, I’m happy. :) Follow me on my Beer Pairing Food Blog at http://thebeercook.blogspot.com/
