Eduardo; Previously we reviewed a sister offering of this beer, 2009 Lost Abbey Angel's Share bourbon barrel. **See Below** This offers more carbonation relatively speaking and a similar lighter nose. I again get the same familiar scent of the vitamins my mother fed me as a child. There is less of a bourbon presence on the nose. Color is darker then the Angel's Share.
To me after Angel's Share this one was a bit of a disappointment. The beer doesn't really live up to the name and description. Don't get me wrong; it's not a bad beer. The flavors are in better balance in this beer then the Angel's Share. There is less of a raisin presence.
Essentially, this is the baby brother to Angel's Share.

The Ferm; Well I'm pretty sure Eduardo will touch on this, so I wont get into much of it. A little history on Pizza Port is that they share some of the same brewery space as The Lost Abbey in California. That said I never really expected this beer to taste the way that it did. While it is a limited release for Pizza Port, I strongly believe that they just re-labeled the standard Angel's Share. The cork cage was even from The Lost Abbey. Anyways this had a bit more carbination, and was a bit more pleasant on the tongue. This beer is shockingly similar, and honestly I think smoother and easier to drink. For a few bucks less I think I would take this over Angel's Share. Still a very good beer.
