Cerveza Chica; Let me just tell you that I am so over drinking stouts and I am very ready for the Ferm to get over his newfound love of them. This beer is everything that I hate. Let me clarify that, this is not a beer I swear I am just drinking coffee or a double shot of espresso. Talk about strong and nasty! I will probably be up all night now just from the caffeine. I could hardly drink this beer because of the disgusted look on my face. If you love coffee and dark heavy beers then this would be right up your alley. I am definitely not a fan.

The Ferm; This is a thick stout! Nice hint of coffee upfront, malt balance in the middle and then, POW!!!, the coffee is back. This is a very good espresso stout. While it does have a bit of alcohol burn, I would imagine it would mellow out perfectly in a year or so. I don’t pick up the oak too much, but we will have to see as it warms up. I was surprised to see so much of this beer still on the shelf at my local shop. They only got a case and after a week there is still 6 bottles. Very good beer! Grab one if you can!
